The synthetic material we use, Ultra-Violet polypropylene/polyethylene hybrid fiber, provides a stimp meter speed of 9 or 10 for realistic ball movement. It is extremely durable, stands up to punishing weather, and is virtually maintenance-free. Conversely, live grass would require constant upkeep with regular watering and trimming.
